Photoblog - baldur.orgI´m trying to remember to post everything I post on Google Plus on this blog as well - as baldur.org is one of the few places on the internet I have (almost) complete control over. Yesterday I took these photos of a rainbow, following a rain shower just before sunset. Today I watched a video which explained how to add textures to images (see here), and wanted to try it out. Choosing pictures of a rainbow may not have been sensible, as the texture "kills" the colours of the rainbow (depends on the texture, I know, but this is what happened in my case). I still like the overall feel of these pictures - for now. The more I practice, the more I dislike many of my older shots - which is probably a good sign. So, a few months from now I might seriously dislike these pictures. Such is life. UpdateI haven´t uploaded any pictures to baldur.org, Flickr or Facebook for a long time, as I mainly use Google Plus these days. Here are a few of the pictures I have been uploading to Google in the past few weeks. My hard drive is getting to be quite messy - hundreds of pictures I haven´t even looked at (probably all crap) and I can´t find anything. I really need to get organised. ToysI bought a Gorilla Pod earlier this week. First trial was in Ilkley Toy Museum, using the "hold your breath, press it against your chest and take a picture" method, someone on Google Plus recommended. The Gorilla Pod can actually be seen in the reflection in one of the images (boy and girl dolls). Random selectionA sample of what I have been shooting the last few days - from surrounding areas. A few picturesAthena´s BirthdayWe spent the afternoon by the river (Wharfe), then went home in time for Athena´s birthday party. Sadly, Athena ate too much chocolate and has an upset tummy today. Four hoursToday I spent four hours cleaning the kitchen. Tomorrow it will get dirty again. I will never get these hours back. Easter Day Walk - Guests from Iceland |
